"Obama is pressing the Bush administration to free up funding for the (automobile) industry through the Treasury, Energy Department and the Federal Reserve, the Wall Street Journal reported today, citing an Obama adviser.
Obama aides also are studying options such as installing new board members at the car companies that receive assistance and requiring that the companies advance more fuel-efficient product lines, the Journal said. "
